FAMILY FARM HISTORY

Set in the picturesque town of Red Hill, on the Mornington Peninsula, Ripe ‘N’ Ready Cherry Farm has been in the family since 1968.  Eric and Margaret Easy first planted strawberries and pumpkins waiting for the cherry trees to mature.  Eric and Margaret’s son, Simon, started selling cherries on the roadside in 1993, then set up ‘Pick your Own’ cherries soon after. Today, the farm is still a family affair, with Eric and Simon working together to produce quality cherries and other seasonal produce.

During the fruit picking season which runs from early November to mid/end January visitors can pick their own cherries. We would like you to have the best cherry-picking experience so depending on fruit availability, there will be days when the fruit is more available than others. This is linked to the number of visitors and the natural process of fruit ripening!

When you are in the orchard you can also pick your own cherries to take home. You pay per kilogram for the cherries you have picked (On the way out of the orchard)

HOW TO FIND US

Car - We are approximately 1 hour south of Melbourne's CBD. When you reach our farm look for the Cherry Farm signs on our driveway. Our customer carpark is approximately 500m once you enter our driveway from Whitehill Road.

Train -To get here by train you will need to catch the Frankston trainline to Frankston. Once at Frankston you will need to arrange a taxi to get you to our orchard which is about 20 minutes away. 13CABS are the taxis used in the area and we strongly recommend you arrange with them when you would like a return journey back to the train station.

Alternatively, there are a few UBER drivers around the area which can make the journey cheaper.

Bus - Unfortunately the buses do not reach the gates of our orchard. The closest bus stop to our orchard is the Dromana bus stop which is approximately 4km away from us. We do not recommend walking from the bus stop. It is best to call a taxi or book an UBER.
